This Is How You Clean A Gun Without A Cleaning Kit

The first thing that you need to do before dissembling a gun is to ensure that it is not loaded. This is a safety precaution that you need to follow without a second thought. After that you can follow these steps to clean your gun without a cleaning kit:

Take It Apart

As you know that different guns dismantle in different ways. This is we asked you to read the manual in the first place. Once, you have pulled it apart, keep the smaller pieces like bolts and nuts in a safe place. You certainly don’t want to lose them. So, make sure that you store them in a small box while cleaning the rest of your firearm.

Look Into Them

That is correct, now you look into the various pieces (like observing, what goes where, especially if you are doing this for the first time). Start by cleaning the bolts, graduating to the chamber, and finally the barrel.

This way you will be cleaning in levels. There is no need to rush through this process as it may take you some time to get used to it (if you are doing it for the first time).

Clean Them

By this time, you may have to use the cutting equipment to take out small pieces of cloth or paper (whichever you have opted for). Use the sleek rod and cover it with these pieces to clean the narrow spaces. Make sure you clean them thoroughly, be it the barrel or the chamber.

Oiling

Now, dip other small pieces of the cloth into WDC or any gun oil that you prefer. Apply it on the bolt first and see if there is more grime that is to come out. This will actually remove all the carbon and foreign particles.

The next you need to do is to inject the rod along with some more pieced cloth or paper into the barrel to oil it. Keep cleaning it till you are satisfied with it.

Restoring

Then dab away all the dripping oil, dirt (if any), and carbon with another piece of the rag. Keep at it till it shines the way you want it to.

In the end, simply reassemble the gun and check if it is working. Check each and every function properly. Ensure safety and then get on with your sport.
